ahhh!
aighhty, went for matriculation or registration or whatever it is today. thought we were kind of early cz we reached the place exactly at 9am, but realised there was a hell of a lot of people there before us. hmm. loll was good catching up with merissa after a lonnng time. anyway, orientation talks etc start tomorrow. so there goes the week. lol after which, its bidding!! which btw, sounds very much complicated, and despite anisha's near-powerpoint slide explanation, it still seems a little intimidating. or maybe because my mind is dead after months of like.. well. bumm-sing as deng says.
anyway, am set on being very friendly tomorrow!! and not an anti-social bum that these 7 months have threatened to turn me into. really hope i dont screw myself up because of the whole bidding thing. its all really confusing and sometimes i wonder if i should have made a different decision? loll OKAY NEVERMINDDD. i think i know better than to second guess myself. hahaha
and im kinda set on going for a student exchange programme next year or something. would love to go to the US, somewhere quiet like illinois or texas (howdy!! heh. sorry couldnt help it) mainly cause it'll be cool to see how things are like at illinois when my parents were there n stuff. and texas.. well. its a change of environment. and i wanna redeem myself after falling off a horse when i was younger. (hmm.) loll. BUTTTT, we'll see how things go.
btw i think im going to carry a map of campus all around with me. if i can get lost in SR after 2 years, i am not gonna take that risk mann! okay. realised ive been mumbling on about school this entire post. but can't help it. loll. aighhty. gotta rush off. am late again. grr. BYEEEE! (:

yay.
very soon i'll be getting my very own first lappie(old ancient passed-down thinkpads not counted)! and so i decided to do some "REAL" research today so as to not totally make a mockery out of myself everytime someone asks me "what kind of laptop are you looking for?", to which my answer is usually "erm. a white one?" hmm. anyway have decided to get a laptop on which i can play sims as well as harry potter and store all my pics and songs. was initially set on a VAIO until sam recommended fujitsu. and i realised fujitsu laptops have PENS!! omg that is really quite awesome and professional but it also brings back bad memories of me stabbing at the touch screen monitor at the driving centre during my basic theory. and then i kind of liked the HP tablet one too which has a fingerprint recognition thingy which is very matrix-like! hmm, so yes, have decided to get a small laptop that is not heavy, n has sufficient space for my games.
but i still want a white one. ):
or possibly a red one. heh heh.
anyways, harry potter is finally over, and i suppose its finally safe to blog about it here. but if you haven't finished reading it, don't scroll down!!! i'll make the words uber tiny so if you really want to read it, u can copy and paste it on Word or something and enlarge it there.
HARRY POTTER SPOILERS ALERT!! SPOILERRRRRSS!!
alright that should be ample warning. heh. anyway, i have finally recovered from my state of numbness 3 days after the book. i kinda expected some stuff, especially the stuff about R.A.B and the whole harry is a horcrux thing. but jk rowling and her deathstick (that name still sounds wrong btw. seems like something a guy would name his.. nevermind. haha.) seriously did a whole lot of damage mann! i teared twice, which is qt an achievement considering i hardly cry. (investiture not counted so shut up. haha.) WHY LUPIN WHYYYY?!! and she did it so fast and didnt even explain who killed him, why they killed him or when! i didnt tear at that part but i just felt really numb, which was weird. btw i thought it was kind of weird that hedwig died and i thought it was kind of funny because i could imagine jk rowling thinking to herself, "hmm. who shall i kill first? AH! that ruddy owl!" hahaha. okay, nevermind.
but my ultimate favourite part was when snape asked harry to look at him before he died. and its only a chapter later you realise that he did that because he wanted to die looking at lily's eyes!!! omg i am such a sucker for soppy stuff like that. but after that chapter i really had to take a breather mann. too heavy for me. but now snape is one of my favourite characters and i think jk rowling did an awesome job building him up throughout the entire series.
and i think that thing abt dumbledore really sort of spoilt it for me. i mean, okay, he is human after all but not telling harry he has to die really is well.. quite mean??? lol. and whats with the epilogue mann! hahaha. i suppose kids with the name 'albus severus' or 'hugo'(name with fag-like nature) will get a lot of shit at school.
but there's so many things i think she left out, which she said she would include but didnt. like what exactly is behind the veil? or how exactly ghosts become ghosts? and what's harry's job? i mean, did he get to be an auror? can't wait until she posts the QnA stuff on her webbie. but until then, im gonna re-read it again and check out any small points i missed out. and im still kinda depressed that its over and that i haven't gotten total closure until all these questions are answered, but yea, i'll get over it. haha (omg so emo)
OH! and my favourite-st line ever, "DONT KILL MY DAUGHTER YOU BITCH!" HAHAHAHA.
so yes, just had to rant about it for a while. still can't believe its really OVER. O-V-E-R. oh well, theres still the last 2 movies. and the theme park which i will definitely visit at least once in my lifetime. lol. anyway, im off to bed! niteee! (:

AHEMAHEM. as of tomorrow 21/7/07, i will be going into 'hibernation mode' until i finish reading HP7. (which will prob be a while since i want to savour every moment. heh.) so anyway, i will abstain from reading any sms-es (ok maybe some) and answering any calls (erm. perhaps just important ones.) and also, i will not log online! yeess!! for fear that someone might tell me the ending. lolll.

BASKET.
very busy week this week mann. although im veryveryvery much looking forward to saturday. heeheehee. BOOK7!!!! YESSSS. and lear of course. loll anyway, gt really excited yesterday cz there was a mini book fair thingy near my house. erm. mostly of 2nd hand books, etc. spent abt an hour there contemplating whether or not to buy the french version of potter GOF. grr. but then decided not to, mainly cz i can prob get it cheaper on alibris or somethin. eitherways no use cz i dont even understand french. loll. so settled for some usborne puzzle books. haha. you know the picture books with the secret puzzles/mysteries.
loll love those books mann. i had a few when i was younger and i spent all my time reading them. to think i actually wanted to be a detective.. erm. aighhty. gtg taa! (:

think im getting sick. groan.
(as in physically. duhh) haha. anyways, im going for the nus medical check up tmr. wonder what kinda tests theyre gonna do. dont really see the use in the urine test. maybe they'll attach it to some computer which will tell them if i cheated for A's or i watch porn or something. HAHA. (which i didnt and i dont btw. just in case you're wondering. haha)
just gt back from tuition and the poor kid seems to be getting more n more tired. spent the last 10 min talking abt water polo and how to catch flies with a bucket of water. loll. dont blame him though. esp since he has tuition almost every day. sigh.

mannnn!
when will heroes season 2 come outttt. and adrian pasdar is super hotttttt! ahhhh. i would post a pic but im too lazy to upload it on photobucket first. loll anyways, the days are drawing nearer and nearer. very soon it'll be hp7!! and lear!! and then the semester will start. mann. 7 months seem to have passed by extremely quickly.
IN FACT, i realise that very soon i will turn 19. which is 1 year away from being a full fledged ADULT. as in adult ADULT. loll. which kinda well.. sucks. which means that in the space of ten years i would probably have to finish up school, get a job, get a husband, start a family, etc etc. which is freakin scary! hmm. and if i dont do all those things, then i might probably just end up as a garang woman loner with menopause who lives with 50 cats in a studio apartment! *shivers*
hmm. alternatively i suppose i could live as a parasite to my parents for as long as i can. which would probably not be very long if i am continuously swarmed by the numerous cats. (erm. okay nevermind.)
anyway, think my tuition kid is making some progress in lit. at least he seems a little more interested these past few days. or perhaps the english lessons are damn boring which is why he says "lets do lit now!" all the time. hmm. got to find a way to make english fun without making use of scary role-playing grammar exercises we did in secondary/primary school.
anyway, his mum told me he needs to be reading books his age and not charlie and the chocolate factory by roald dahl. so i got him some extracts from lamb for the slaughter which is an awesome roald dahl short story (as are all his other short stories) shall hope that i dont get fired next week for letting him read a story of that slightly 'disturbing' nature. hahha. hmm or maybe i shouldnt have told him to read it as a 'bedtime story'. hmmm.
oh well, gtg. seeyaa!
